MAIN PROJECT IDEA

Using wine tourism as an educational tool to recognize the great potential and cultural heritage that rural areas treasure is a challege. In Vino Expertise is the way to get closer to this acknowledgment through the creation of international training on wine tourism and a network that allows easing the links between unemployed professionals and wine tourism companies in 5 countries.

NEED / PROBLEM

Fighting against the unemployment of adults with low qualifications due to early school leaving.
Revitalization of the rural landscape depressed by the long pandemic season due to Covid-19.
Providing adult unemployed people with transnational training on wine tourism.

OBJECTIVES

To create a training between 6 different partners located in relevant oenological areas - already established or under development -, together with the companies that activate them.
Building, among all adherents to the project, a network of contacts of public and private entities active in wine tourism and unemployed adults who need to find jobs near them.

WORKING PLAN

The project has a lifespan of 24 months, from Novmeber 2020 to October 2022.

TARGET GROUP

Direct target group: unemployed adults.
Indirect target group: companies active in wine tourism.

RESULTS

1. In Vino Expert-Course, a training course based on non-formal/informal methodology that provides citizens with basic knowledge about wine tourism. This course will be based on the contents of the National Catalogue of Professional Qualifications. It will fulfill the aim of rapprochement between the European citizen and the cultural Mediterranean heritage of wine.

2. In Vino Network, an online community around the wine tourism sector, composed of training space and information about wine, a space on job vacancies at the European level linked to the wine tourism sector, and a space where citizens can make their own profile and sell themselves to subscribed companies, always active in tourism of wine.

3. In Vino Intense-Course, a 5 days mobility activity based on intensive training for trainers involving professionals and educators will be delivering the teaching units of the In Vino Expert-Course.

4. In Vino Event, where the project’s outputs will be presented and professionals of the wine tourism sector could advocate the projects’ results, by providing a context to the project itself.
